Nkechi Ezeonyeasi

Principal

Nkechi Uzor-Ezeonyeasi is an accomplished professional and organizational leader with extensive experience in various industries, including oil & gas, energy, and environmental sectors. She possesses excellent skills in strategic planning, business leadership, policy building, process safety leadership, business intelligence and development, channel management, team coaching, and communication.

Nkechi holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Polymer Engineering from the Federal University of Technology Owerri Nigeria, a Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (Honors) from NAIT Alberta Canada, a Mini MBA, an Advanced Diploma in Innovation, Business Growth, and Digital Execution USA, a Master of Business Administration USA, and completed a Certificate in Business and Entrepreneurship Essentials from the Harvard Business School.

Throughout her ten-year work history, Nkechi has held various leadership and advisory roles in the private and public sectors. She has successfully led project safety management in Trinidad and Tobago, and in Alberta Canada, established a structured and efficient micro, small, and medium enterprise government agency in Nigeria, and coordinated projects for the ICAE and Government of Alberta Canada's COVID-19 Mental Health Project. Nkechi has severed in various roles in the Edmonton Igbo community including the Igbo school board curriculum committee and is currently the Principal of Edmonton Igbo School here in Alberta Canada. 

Nkechi Uzor-Ezeonyeasi is a wife, and a mom of 3 lovely children, and she enjoys sports, Writing, and volunteering activities in different capacities outdoors.

Mercy Eze

Teacher

Pastor (Dr.) Mrs. Mercy Eze is a passionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who has made it her life's work to provide excellent healthcare services to patients. She is currently pursuing the Practical Nurse Program at NorQuest College, where she has gained extensive experience in patient admissions and discharges, healthcare management strategies, and emergency response.

With a Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers Certificate from heart and stroke, Mercy is a skilled team player with exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities. She is adept at collaborating with other healthcare team members to provide holistic care for patients of all ages. Her expertise in providing holistic nursing care within the scope of her practice has been honed through years of experience.

Mercy is a strong communicator with outstanding intrapersonal and interpersonal skills. Her remarkable knowledge and ability to identify patients' needs allow her to provide evidence-based care plans to patients with various clinical conditions. She is also proficient in problem-solving and decision making.

Mercy's educational background includes a Practical Nurse Diploma Program and an Upgrade Program/Open Studies from NorQuest College. She has also completed several clinical practices in Edmonton, including Acute Care – Preceptorship at St. Mary's Hospital, Acute Care – Surgery at Royal Alexandra Hospital, Acute Care – Medicine at University of Alberta Hospital, and Continuing Care at St. Joseph’s Auxiliary Hospital/Grandview.

Currently working as a Licensed Practical Nurse at CareGivers Home Health Care Inc., Mercy performs a wide range of nursing tasks, including medication administration, complex dressing changes, catheter insertion and care, ostomy care, tube feed, and similar tasks. Her commitment to providing compassionate care ensures that all her patients receive the highest standard of care possible.

Mercy Eze is a compassionate and skilled healthcare professional with a proven track record of excellence in patient care. She is fluent in every aspect of Igbo language and is keen on supporting students on their language journey.

Marie Ikokwu

Teacher

Marie Ikokwu is Teacher with the Edmonton Igbo Language School. She also works with the Edmonton Public School Board and previously worked with the Secondary Education Management Board, Umuahia, Abia State in Nigeria. 

Marie migrated to Canada about a decade ago with my family. She loves reading, listening to music, singing, and cooking.
