The Parent Teachers Association (“PTA”) is open to all parents and teachers at our Edmonton Igbo School (“EIS”) and is currently led by a team of 3 volunteers. The leadership team does the important work of bridging any identified gaps between parents and teachers, as we strive for excellence in programming and teaching the Igbo language. The PTA also ensures that relevant concerns from a parent or a teacher is properly communicated and addressed in a reasonable and timely manner.

The PTA also does other fun stuff like reminding parents and students about important dates for the school and relevant community events, via the PTA’s vibrant WhatsApp group.  The Edmonton Igbo School encourages every parent to join the PTA WhatsApp group for up-to-date information, as we work together to take the EIS to greater heights. The importance of an effective PTA is gaining momentum daily and we welcome feedbacks from our community members and stakeholders on how we can do things better.
